Gen's favorite trip is the Essential Rockies by Rail

Growing up on the Sunshine Coast, I learned to appreciate the outdoors at a young age. From sailing to hiking, I always wanted to explore. This passion for the outdoors quickly became a wider passion for travel and led me to Greece, Turkey, and Central America, as well as all over Canada and the Western United States. A huge library of guidebooks and a knack for creating great trips led me to Fresh Tracks. I’m happy helping fellow travel-nuts plan their dream vacations to Canada and love to share my knowledge of this wonderful country.

Josh's favorite trip is the Golf and Spa Rail Vacation

A native of BC’s Sunshine Coast, I’ve always been very active and involved in the outdoors. Graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Business degree, I took off for all out travel.

I spent time in Mexico, the U.K., and 27 different states and provinces. The highlight though was touring Western Canada  as a ‘semi-professional’ snowboarder - testing equipment. If you need to know anything to plan your trip through the Rockies and Western Canada, chances are I’ve been there and know where to find the best Beef Dip Sandwich.

Robin's favorite trip is the Twin Cultures Rail Vacation

I love living on the West Coast and know there are so many gorgeous, pure, and unspoiled locations for travelers to discover. For anyone I’d recommend one of the Gulf Islands for laid back west coast living amongst untouched forests and jagged beaches. On the other hand, I grew up in the interior of BC surrounded by thousands of lakes and the wine country of the Okanagan, and am fond of the small town of Kamloops. It’s more than a gateway to the spectacular Rockies, with points of cultural interest like the vibrant Kamloops Pow Wow and beautiful surroundings in the red and gold hills and the energizing Thompson river.

I love helping people to explore my country and all the amazing and unique attributes of beauty and culture that it offers. To me, travel is the best education with endless possibilities of discovery!

Kath's favorite train vacation is the Romance by Rail

I’ve traveled and worked throughout Canada, and covered many thousands of miles in my trusty little car. It’s really hard to pin down a favourite spot, though Vancouver Island does stand out as one of the most magical places I’ve ever been. Its little towns have so much character!

As a result of my adventures and experiences, I can really add a personal touch to my travelers’ trips. I love working with customers from scratch, listening to their desires, and customizing the trip based on their personalities. There’s no better feeling than when you’ve put together the perfect adventure for someone! After working in the Fresh Tracks Vancouver office for 2 years, I’m now based in Calgary. Being surrounded by the Rocky Mountains has proved a constant source of inspiration for me. Each new day of work is exciting, as the traveling possibilities in Canada are endless and amazing.

Davis' favorite trip is the Active Winter Rockies Rail

I was born and raised in Canada, and spent most of my life on Vancouver Island. Whilst studying for my degree at the University of Victoria I also took advantage of opportunities to travel. A particularly memorable adventure was a round-the-world trip where I got the chance to volunteer with Olive Ridley turtles in Costa Rica, surf waves way beyond my skill level in Hawaii, get chased by a wild orangutan in Indonesia, attend the Juno Beach 60th anniversary ceremonies in France, and run with the bulls in Pamplona.

I am originally a native Kiwi but now call Vancouver home - another dose of beautiful scenery, and friendly people. I love getting outdoors and experiencing the range of activities available that I can’t believe some locals now take for granted ! Having worked in New Zealand tourism for years planning tailor-made trips, I take pride in my travel expertise and attention to detail, both are sure to be invaluable in planning your trip.
