Visitors can enjoy browsing for souvenirs at the gift shop situation conveniently on Mountain Avenue. Along with mementos to commemorate your trip, the gift shop has a variety of clothing and local artwork. You can also find great outdoor gear and accessories to help you bundle up if you take the gondola ride during the winter, and to use on your other outdoor adventures on your vacation in the mountains.
2. Service Dogs on the Gondola Ride
The current policy at Banff, the gondola ride, and other facilities includes restrictions on pets. Dogs and other animals are not allowed, with the exception of service dogs. You must meet the requirements to bring your service dog along on the gondola ride. Expect to present the appropriate accreditation on-site to verify your service dog. Keep in mind that emotional support animals are not permitted.
3. Spectacular Views and Panoramic Vistas from Observation Decks
No matter what time of year you visit the Banff Gondola, you get to see amazing 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains, both from the ride itself and the observation deck once you reach the summit.
The view you see varies depending on the time of year and weather conditions. Choose to take your trip during the summer if you love to spot wildlife and take in the greenery of trees and plant life. The winter offers equally amazing scenery when everything is covered in a pristine blanket of white.
